Welcome back to another Mask Monday 🙂 it’s officially starting to feel like Fall over here. Although I am missing summer, I am glad for Fall weather. However, what I wasn’t expecting is to see how much damage my hair has suffered in the summer months even with weekly hair masks.
For my hair, I decided to do a DIY hair mask for damaged hair: Olive oil and avocado hair mask. Olive oil is full of omega-3 fatty acids and it’s going to play an important role in my hair growth, shine and strengthening my hair. Avocado provides proteins and healthy fats which will promote overall healthy moisture to my damaged dry hair as well.
Ingredients are as follow:
- 1 ripe mashed avocado
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- *bonus add 2 tablespoons of honey for extra hydration*
After mixing all of these ingredients I placed it on my head with a shower cap for 45 minutes followed by washing with cool water.
For my face, I decided to try Soo AE purifying black charcoal mask (hydration + moisture sheet mask.) Love the ingredients in this face mask it was different to try out and did leave my skin feeling moisturized and soft.
For my lips, I decided to try another DIY recipe: 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of raw sugar. It’s said to help reduce lip lines. I loved how supple and smooth my lips looked after trying. Not to mention how tasty.
For my eyes, I decided to do another DIY recipe: cucumber mint eye mask. The key is to place cucumber into a blender with mint and strain out the liquid place it on cotton pads and place them in your eye for 15-20 minutes. I loved this eye mask my eyes felt cool from the cucumber and mint.
