Mask Mondays: Face, Lip, Hair Masks

Hello to all 🙂 welcome back to another blog post. I hope you all had an amazing weekend. We finally got some warm weather this weekend and took complete advantage of it.

For today’s Mask Monday I knew I wanted to try a face mask that had some sort of an exfoliant in its ingredient since I did use make up once this past weekend and since it’s always good to remove dead skin in order to promote healthy and fresh looking skin.

For my hair, I was in serious need of deep conditioning it and trying to find a way to tame my frizzy curls and help the new postpartum hair growth coming back. ( Yes, after you have your baby you do lose hair 🙂 you’re welcome in case no one ever told you.)

For the lips, I also wanted to do an exfoliating  type of balm this week

Since I was going to use a scrub mask I decided to do a sleeping mask

Masks I used this week are:

Charcoal and black sugar dual-action scrub facial mask (purchased at CVS)

Sauce beauty: Deep moisture mask guacamole whip avocado, argan oil, and monoi oil (purchased at Sally’s beauty)

Revlon Exfoliating balm- Sugar Mint (purchased at Target)

Watermelon Glow: Sleeping Mask (purchased at Sephora)

My thoughts on the products after trying them:

Charcoal and black sugar: love this face mask it did feel warm to the touch as I scrubbed my face. After use, my face did feel soft and smooth.

Sauce beauty deep moisture mask: It truly was a hair mask I noticed a change in just one try and although it says to use 2-3 times a week you will notice a significant change after using it once. My curls felt soft and I did notice a drastic change with the frizz.

Revlon Kiss: I have been loving it this balm leaves my lips feeling smooth and hydrating they do have sugar which exfoliates yet melts with the balm. There’s no need to wipe off and the balm lasts for a few hours.

Watermelon Glow: It’s a pretty cool texture too bouncy gel- cream. Applies smoothly and absorbs quickly to the skin. Left my skin feeling very soft.

That’s all for this week’s Mask Monday. Thank you for stopping by. 🙂

As always I wish you all a great week!

Mask Monday

Hello to all 🙂 welcome back to another blog. Today I decided to start a new fun and cool series in my blog (social media accounts) called Mask Monday. As a first time mom I haven’t been the best when it comes to self-love/ self-care which I was good at prior to having my baby. In order to hold myself accountable I decided to document and post it on my blog as a diary way to look back and see what types of brands I’ve tried and which one works for what type of skin problem or area, which hair mask works best on my curls and which ones didn’t.

Now on to the fun part this week’s Mask Monday.

Eyes: For the eyes, I decided to go and try Clean & Clear’s new night relaxing jelly eye sheet mask with seaweed extract- Soothes and replenishes skin.

Face: Masque Bar Grey Clay peel off mask- Cleanse. Soothe. Purify. This peel-off clay mask helps to deep cleanse, moisturize and soothe skin.

Sally’s box: Friendly Berry Berry Lip Patch- Hydrates lips

My final thoughts:

For the eye mask, I placed it into the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before using it. It felt amazing on the skin and I did enjoy it. My eyes did feel hydrated and less puffy. I fell in love and will be repurchasing for nights in which baby sleeps and I get to indulge in a movie and some pampering.

For the face mask, I did feel my skin was a lot smoother. I enjoy using the peel off method and this clay mask did not dry out my skin like some clay masks do. I do recommend this face mask by Masque bar and will be repurchasing.

Lip patch had a horrible taste to it I accidentally licked my lips and it was just bad. My lips did feel smooth. I will not be repurchasing this particular lip patch because of its taste.

That was all the masks I used this Monday thank you for stopping by. If you have any masks whether it’s a face mask, hair mask or lip mask please let me know I am always looking for recommendations.

As always, I thank you for coming and wish you all a great one.

An open letter to my mama on Mother’s Day

IMG_8346

Hi 🙂 welcome back to another blog. Today I wanted to take my very first Mother’s Day and celebrate and honor my own Mama. The lovely amazing woman who brought me into this world.

Mama,

I hope you know just how much I love you and appreciate you. It wasn’t until I held my little guy for the first time did, I realize “wow that overwhelming love and urge to protect him from everything must be the same thing my mom has felt and successfully has done all my life.”  Becoming a mother has been one of the most beautiful things I could have experienced but also one of the hardest jobs of all, yet you make it look so easy. You have placed yourself last so many times to ensure all of us were well taken care of that you lost yourself as a woman. Yet when it was time to back to find her you did just that for the better of our family. You finished your degree became the best nurse and on your way you were. Growing up I always remembered just how blessed and happy we were to have you for a mother you made us feel loved and everything we could have wanted was given -now I won’t say we were spoiled rotten children yet in a sense we were given so much and the love was always there. What we didn’t see was just how difficult and expensive it was at times and the hardships you went through in order to make things happen for us. Being the eldest I knew you worked two jobs and how it was long hours. I never knew if you were in pain, tired or unhappy because you never mentioned it, you never complained. Now as a mother I see just how hard you and dad worked together to make sure we were good. I now see just how hard it was for you too at times, the loneliness of motherhood and how although unintentional your children will make you cry sometimes. I am sorry for all the times I made you cry as a teen and even as an adult. I now see that in the end, all you have ever wanted is the same exact thing I want for my son. To be happy and avoid hurt, pain, and troubles not to learn life the hard way but through other people’s experiences and lessons learned.

Thank you for being our families rock for being the most amazing mom a girl could ask for. Thank you for being the best Grandma to my little boy and for loving him as if he were another child of your own. I love you to the moon and back!

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there, the ones who do it all for their children and families. May you enjoy your day and remember just how important you are in their lives. To those mommies to have lost their babies Happy Mother’s day to you, may you remember you too are a mommy to your angel in heaven.

Have a great day & as always thank you for stopping by.

Walmart Beauty Box Winter

IMG_7884

Hello and welcome back to another post. Today I am going to be reviewing Walmart’s Beauty box for the Winter Season. Walmart has recently come out with a beauty box one for each season. This fun beauty box is actually FREE, and all of the products are sold in Walmart. You do only pay $5.00 in shipping. Similar to Target’s beauty box the goal is to introduce new products that are either new or a brand you’ve never heard of.

Contents in the Winter Box are:

  • Makeup bag
  • Soo’AE Unicorn Glow Hologram Mask
  • Pantene Intense Rescue Shots
  • Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer
  • Olay Daily Facials Daily Hydrating Clean Dry Cloth
  • Biore Charcoal Cleansing Micellar Water

These are all great brands, all of them except for one Soo’AE are brands in which I have used in the past making it great to try their new lines. I HIGHLY recommend this Walmart box to anyone who is looking to treat themselves but also to test out products without the commitment of having to purchase a full-size product. It’s also a great way to know which products work best for you.

As always, I thank you for taking the time and stopping by.

Have a great day and until next time.

Working mommy Wednesday with Samantha Hernandez (Paparazzi bling)

Can you give us a little background of your story?
To be honest I have always had a little side hustle to not only help keep me busy and occupied but also because it is something that I like to do. I love sales and love being able to provide people with great items for great prices. I have done a few different things. I started off with a Pen pal Service for those incarcerated back in 2004. I have also had my own little online boutique where I sold Fashion Jewelry, Purses, Wallets, Tote Bags, Duffle Bags, etc. I then wanted to try something a little different and created my own Name Blocks as well as Countdown Blocks – that was Super Fun because it involved crafts and I LOVE Crafts! I have also had my own Photography business, I love the camera being in front of it of course, but also behind it being able to capture those special moments and memories. I hadn’t done anything in a while and thought one day I need to find something to do to make a little extra money so I ran into my $5 Paparazzi Bling business.

How many children do you have? I have only been BLESSED with 1 so far 😉 my son is currently 19 years old.

How did you get involved with your side Hussle/ business?           I was scrolling through Facebook one day and saw a different post of Paparazzi $5 Bling, I thought to myself as much time as I spend a day just scrolling through FB I could actually be working on FB making some extra cash for my family.

What is a typical day like for you? I have been blessed to be able to work as a Secretary for a family business 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday, while at work I am also able to work my $5 Bling business as well. I create schedules on Sunday night to have a layout of what I am going to do for my business throughout the week. (Example: What days I will do a Live Show, what days I will show certain pieces, what days I will do invoicing and what days I will ship out orders.) After work, I will take the time to do any organizing that needs to be done in my jewelry room and will take the time to do whatever is on my schedule for that day. I work my $5 Bling business part-time as I do have to eventually go home and take care of house duties as well.

Why Paparazzi bling? Besides seeing their posts on Facebook, I loved the whole concept and idea of selling fashionable pieces of jewelry that could help women feel pretty, put together at a price in which would not break the bank.
How does it feel being owning your own business? Owning my own business feels amazing. I may not own the company itself being that I am a Paparazzi Consultant/Director however I do own my own inventory.   Being able to work my 9-5 and then being able to run my own business from the comfort of my home and doing it when I want to is amazing. I don’t have to go out and get a 2nd job and physically have to drive to it I have it right here.

Any words for any mother out there who is working a job and looking to make extra cash but unsure of what do to or start?   If you are looking to make extra money and doing something like I do, Direct Sales, I won’t sit here and feed you a story or a lie! Just like any 9-5 or Part-Time second job you will not, let me repeat you WILL NOT be rich overnight – it will take time, in the beginning, to start seeing a profit. If you are looking into doing something to help bring in an extra income for yourself or for your family find something that interest, you. You definitely do not want to get into something that you will get bored with quickly. If you LOVE jewelry and know women that love jewelry joins my team! Remember you can work and run this business on YOUR time and in the comfort of your OWN home. Feel free to reach out to me via email: adivazdesirepaparazzi@gmail.com or for more information visit my “Join My Team” link: https://paparazziaccessories.com/join/177129/#/

Interested in hosting an online FB Party • I’m your girl • please reach out to my Business Page on Facebook

Do you have any closing words?   In closing I would just like to say, never underestimate yourself, don’t be afraid of running your own business. There is plenty of women just like me and you that had amazing jobs and have quit because their business has been so much of a success!

Thank you, Samantha Hernandez, for your time and for sharing your story with us about your paparazzi company. I wish you all the success.

My Diaper Bag must-haves / (items can’t live without)

Hello to all mommies/mommy to be 🙂 today I am excited to have my first blog post of 2019 be a mommy blog post. Since becoming a mommy to my handsome baby boy six months ago I remember what it was like being pregnant and being completely clueless about what really was needed in a diaper bag. So today I have decided I should write a blog post myself about my diaper bag must-haves and hopefully inspire a mommy to be or mommy who probably could use my tips/advice.

  1. Diapers/ wipes– Apparently, when I did my research they say it’s good to have one for each hour you will be out. However, I feel like this changes for every baby since, after all, each child is different. I usually keep 4-5 diapers in my diaper bag and then carry extras in elsewhere to keep my diaper bag from getting heavy. Wipes I have in the soft pouch and I don’t have a set amount just refill my soft wipe pouch up. *Please make sure you add your diapers as you use them so you won’t be without at an important time 🙂 you are welcome in advance.*
  2. Mini pampers pouch- This pouch HAS ALL OF MY BABIES ESSENTIALS! From his diaper rash ointment/ cream, Aquaphor, nail clippers, mini/travel size toiletries, saline solution, Nose Frida, and medications. Everything I would need just in case any scenario was to happen I have it in my pampers pouch. (which was given to me with samples in the hospital.)
  3. Extra outfit/ change of clothes-As a mom you will never know when the next blowout will be or when the baby will accidentally spill something on their clothes, throw up etc.  * My added tip! place the extra set of clothes inside a Ziploc bag that way the dirty/soiled clothes can go in.*
  4. Changing pad/disposable pads-Makes cleaning his diaper easier when laying him down in the changing tables. *I know some public restaurants and places do have some but it’s always best to have one just in case they don’t. *
  5. Hand Sanitizer-So important and I have become obsessed with since my pregnancy.
  6. Pacifier disinfecting wipes- BEST invention ever! You disinfect pacifiers, nipples on the bottles. Teething toys on the go when they fall/ get dirty. And they will, especially once the little ones start throwing things out!
  7. Bottles & formula-I keep bottles with water and formula in the dispenser ready for the next bottle feeding on the go. The best thing about my diaper bag is that I have three slots for bottles and they are insulated which will keep the milk either cold or warm for hours. I recommend those to makes life a little easier.
  8. Swaddle blanket-Whoever created the swaddle blanket is truly a genius. I love my muslin swaddle blankets. I usually keep anywhere from one to two in my diaper bag. I love that they are light yet also are warm for my baby boy. I’ve used this during the summer and even now in the winter. It’s always handy to keep them close by.
  9. Favorite toy- For any moment where your little one gets fussy make sure you have their favorite small toy, small stuffed animal around. My little guy loves his little plush elephant which has two teething areas as well great for him when his gums hurt.
  10. Snack- If the baby is already having snacks it’s important to carry some.

Extras

  1. First aid kit
  2. Sling wrap

Nursing cover (you could always use Muslin swaddle blanket)

Mommy things

  1. Breast pads- Especially right after having a baby or while breastfeeding is very important!!
  2. Pads- Very important especially right after labor and delivery and once your period comes back it’s always good to have.
  3. Wallet- self-explanatory
  4. Cell phone
  5. Keys
  6. Water
  7. Pen /paper
  8. Tissues
  9. Lip balm/ chapstick
  10. Planner/ important documents

I hope you enjoy some of my diaper bag must-haves. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. And to those mamas please share your diaper bag must-haves I am always curious.

As always I will you all the best!

-Rewritten perfectly (mama)
